It’s bold, it’s a little spicy, and it’s got roots deeper than your last situationship. This isn’t a tea for small talk—it’s for sulking in the garden, writing one too many metaphors about trees, and pretending you don’t care while absolutely caring.

Ingredients:

Black Tea – Straightforward, no frills, fully caffeinated. Just like his opinions.

Damiana – A little sultry, a little mischievous. Definitely up to something.

Burdock Root – Earthy, grounding, like barefoot philosophy.

Ginger – Adds a kick just when things were settling down.

Cinnamon Chips – Warm and sweet, but not trying too hard.

Vanilla – Smooth talker of the blend.

Brewing Instructions:

  • Water Temp: 200°F

  • Steep Time: 5–7 minutes

  • Add vanilla after steeping if using extract. Best served when you're about to make a point that’s going to ruffle feathers.

Tasty Notes:

First Sip: Classic and bold with a whisper of vanilla.

Middle: Damiana flirts while burdock keeps it together.

Finish: Ginger and cinnamon hang around with a wink.

Best Enjoyed When:

  • When you feel too much and not enough.

  • While rereading a line of your own writing that frightens you with its honesty.

  • In the hour before sleep, when your ghosts are most talkative..

Best Served:

  • During twilight, when the light feels wrong in the living room.

  • In a tidy kitchen with an open window that never used to be there.

  • While rereading We Have Always Lived in the Castle and wondering which sibling you are.

  • After politely declining an invitation... and finding the invitation back on your doorstep.

Best sipped with:

Avoiding Small Talk at a Social Gathering
Sneak off with your cup, stare into the hedgerow, and pretend to write a novel about existential desire.

Mid-Afternoon (When Existential Ennui Hits)
Perfect for that 3:00 p.m. “What is civilization even for?” slump.
It’ll wake your spirit and stir your sass.

During Moody Writing Sessions
Especially when journaling in a leather notebook or drafting an angry-but-poetic email you won’t send.

While Sitting Barefoot in Nature, Judging People
Ideally under a tree. Bonus points for brooding and eavesdropping on birds.

Late Evening, When You’re Feeling Philosophical but Petty
Enough caffeine to fuel a good monologue. Not enough to keep you up spiraling.
